light drawing

I still havent made a vid, though i might have another charisma speaks soon...In the meantime I have been taking pics a lot. On the weekend I tried light drawing. To do this, I used a mini mag light and left the shutter open on my camera in a dark room. Here are some of them. The one above of the ducky took many tries, and I think it is an effective powermove to fend off the giant baby.

This was one of my first attempts at figuring out the shutter speed - but I like the image.

As with most things with my camera, these were fun to take.

not coming to me...just braincrack

january has been a crazy month. i put off making any more videos while crazyness was around. well i made a couple but i dont know that they are org suitable... anyway, that crazy time is all over, but the vids arent coming to me. charisma is sitting in a box (likely fiddling with her own), i have an idea for stopmotion, well a couple, but at the moment they are just brain crack. i was thinking of a chocolate stopmotion...not sure...

On the advice of a sportsracer

I had previously made a small stop motion vid clip as a thank you tribute to ze frank, the sportsracers, duckies and the org.


A sportsracer (yeah Awed Job) let me know that if I wanted to make that vid better and easier, I should try Monkey Jam. After a couple error messages (thats what happens when you use a new program with intuition as your only guide), I read a help file and made this:

irritation and inspiration

I have a tendancy to get irritated. There are many things that can bring about irritation; cleaning, my boss, computer printers, morons, itchy clothing. with a new year here and me looking for resolution, I have decided that when things start to get to me, I need to change my perspective and view these annoyances as material.


"Charisma Speaks" is the first creation to come out of this idea. Another I threw together last night. I was trying to use Revver and found the site didnt work well for the third day in a row. Discussion of this matter in their forums led me to throw together "Technical Difficulties". Now their error messages amuse me.

Charisma Speaks

Today I released the first episode of "Charisma Speaks". Charisma is nearing 40, and in her bizarre life as a moronic sock puppet, she has accumulated bits of wisdom that she shares with the world.


While Charisma is purely fictional, comments made by her are inspired by a chat room frequented by a few very special puppets.

i made a small video for a project that emerged from zefrank's the show


i should dedicate a post or two to the wonders of ze frank and the sportsracers, but that is material for another post. basically i decided to make this video because i feel compelled to contribute something to the online community ze frank has created. this community has done a lot to entertain and inspire me.
